GTN Xi crashes on every sim exit
#1
Hello,

Recently upgraded my PC. Windows 11 Professional, relatively high-end desktop PC. I have noticed that every time I close the MSFS 2020 (Steam version), the Windows Reliability Monitor reports that "GTN Xi Series Trainer" Stopped working. This is shown on the reliability graph as a red "X" and the graph drops.

There is no obvious sign that the program has crashed, other than my checking the Reliability Monitor. Appears to happen every time I exit the sim.

Please can I get ideas on what to look for to stop the program crashing in the background on sim shutdown? I realize it may be a minor issue, but I don't like looking at the Reliability Monitor graph and seeing this tracking in the mud, plus it should not be happening regardless.

Error report from Reliability Monitor:

Hello,

This is an unloading error, which happens under certain cases/system configurations.
This does not affect regular TDS GTNXi operation and it is not a show stopper bug, but a log event which shows up only when looking for something specific.

We will look, in the future, for a fix.

Great, thank you. I am pleased to know it is a bug and not my PC specifically. Please do look into this as I really hate seeing my Reliability Monitor in the dumps because of this unloading error every time I use MSFS.

Hello, I see that there have been two updates recently, but this unloading bug remains. TDS GTN is ruining my Reliability Monitor graph. Looking forward to a fix soon.

Thank you.

Hello,

Is this CTD replicable?

This time, CTD during loading of MSFS2020.

Yesterday, system locked up during a Windows 11 Update. Took me a few tries before it would boot up in Windows. Ever since then, MSFS2020, MSFS2024, TDS GTNXi, have posted errors in Event Viewer. Still trying to chase down the root cause(s). My assumption is that the issue is not with TDS GTNXi.
