Garmin trainer installation issues

Hi Guys,
             I am having trouble installing the garmin trainer. i have previously installed the trainer for the rxp gtn in xp11 without any problems.
i get a message stating an error initially and the offline trainer module appears but the start button is blacked out and will not continue.
i have uninstalled the trainer from my system and tried numerous times, but the same error appears. i have also tried, as suggested in another post, to install via garmin but again it states an error on installing. the trainer is showing installed in the TDS interface.

I wanted to reinstall the trainer for PC, but I always get error messages:

1.) "Could not find GTNXi PC Trainer, it looks like it is not installed, please reinstall from the TDS GPS Manager or contact support!"
When tried to reinstall:
2.) Installation failed - Failed to install the GTN Xi v(20.20) Trainer. See details below - Must specify a Garmin Trainer Installer Catalog (.gtic) file
3.) Failed Installing PC Trainer Depency! Current Version: Desired Version 20.20.10

I'm having this headache for the second time.
It happened in the past updating from 2.20 to 2.30 and now, from 2.30 to 2.42.
No matter what I do, It will only work with 2.30 installed... I've tried several times to have it working with 2.42 but no success. It gives me the message that Garmim Trainer is not installed and can't be found. If I have both versions installed (2.30 and 2.42) it works but it shows on the GTN loading screen in MSFS that the version in use is 2.30. I've also been searching for a solution but nothing so far. 

I'd really aprecciate some help.

Hello,

As the time of writing this message, the TDS GTNXi only supports the GTNXi PC Trainer V20.30.8 and not the recently released V20.42.2. Please install the PC Trainer V20.30.8 and the TDS GTNXi will work fine. Work is underway on our end for support of the newer PC Trainer V20.42.2
