Black Screen
#1
Sad
Hello

When I tried to use the GTN tonight I got an error message telling me that there was a virus .... Windows defender had deleted the TDS GTNXI Flight SIM executable.

I introduced an exception on the TDS and Garmin folders, then I reinstalled the 2 GTNs and restarted the executable.

Unfortunately I now have a black screen on both the 750 and the 650.

You will find attached the log.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

Sorry to hear that you are having problems with the TDS GTNXi, we are here to help.

Can you try rebooting the PC, then reinstall the GTNXi from the GPS Manager. After the reinstallation, does the GTNXi work? If it does not work, can you reupload the new log files?

Do not worry, we will get this problem solved.

It's windows defender that messes things up by quarantining or "cleaning" certain components .... I was finally able to restore everything that had been deleted and it's fine. But I must admit that running without a firewall bothers me!

Hello,

We are actively working on a permanent solution so users will not have to disable their antivirus protection system.
Did you try adding a general folder exclusion for the TDS GTNXi installation folder? This should solve the problem without having to completely disable the protection system.
