GTN in VC very laggy on Just Flight Turbo Arrow

I am running 32GB 3600Mhz Ram, RTX2080 Super and Ryzen 9 3900X with both the TDS GTNXi and MSFS both on M.2 Drives. I am running at 5120x1440 therefore I am not set to a higher resolution than 1440. I too have reasonably good FPS at around 45 and have refresh panel rate set at Medium in settings

Hello, we have made a mistake in our message regarding the screen resolution and we have corrected it. We seem to think that the problem has to do with GPU resources: if MSFS uses 100% of the GPU, then none is left for the GTNXi. Could you perhaps please try setting a temporary FPS limiter and try the GTNXi again? The situation should change for the better. Additionally, with the normal 45+ FPS, can you please go in the Task Manager, performance tab and let us know what is the GPU usage?

Thank you.

Additionally, to all customers who experience this issue:

Have you by any chance install the FPS limiter - to double FPS performance, such as this one or a similar one, if it exists?

What is the gauge refresh rate set to in the MSFS General Settings?

Hi there

Thanks for the reply. I personally do not use any FPS limiter software. Also, I tried by setting the maximum frames in the sim menu to 30FPS and I was using about 91-95% GPU. When this was turned off, the results were pretty much the same around 91-95% with 45FPS on average. Both times the software was laggy and there was no difference to the responsiveness of the software.

Hello, thank you for your report. We are currently investigating this issue and as soon as we will have more questions or need clarification, we will let you know.
In the meantime, it would help if you could please tell us a bit more about your system settings, do you have any specific settings/run any software or anything that may help us find the culprit? Thank you.

Here is a short unlisted video of the issue at hand....https://youtu.be/bO5sc4lc0u4

Also an image of the GPU usage while capped at 30 in the video https://i.imgur.com/k5GhBCO.jpg

Only Flight sim stuff I had running in the background was Track IR
non FS stuff: Audient ID for my DAC, logitech G hub for headphones, then the nvidia system tray app.

Same problem. Just Flight Arrow III, the TDS is laggy.

If I Right ALT + Click and show the popup then the TDS gauge in the cockpit is not so laggy.

Intel 12900K, GTX 3070TI 8GB,  32GB RAM... everything else runs fine, but the TDS is laggy.

I just spent $70 AUD on this and frankly it's not good enough!

MatthewS,

We are sorry that you are having problems with the TDS GTNXi, we are here to help. Please do not worry, we will do our best to assist all our customers, we always do.
We are actively looking into this problem, but we would like to ask our customers if they can give us the system particularities or special settings (such as Nvidia VSync, Anti-Aliasing, etc), so we can best track this down. There are only a few customers reporting this problem so we think that something internal is going on that is causing such issue.

Tried vsync both on and off, high settings in FS, 3440x1440, 100% render scale, latest nvidia drivers, gtx3070ti 8gb.

Everything in FS runs great, probably around 70-90fps depending on scenery, everything except the TDS cockpit gauge!

If I hold RIGHT ALT and click the TDS gauge it pops up in a window.  When displayed in a popup window the cockpit gauge and the window are quite smooth but without the popup window the cockpit gauge is laggy.

Good video!

I experience the same thing... if the popup is displayed then both the popup and cockpit gauge are quite smooth, and clicking buttons on the cockpit gauge is no longer laggy.

As soon as the popup is closed, the cockpit gauge is laggy!

Resize popup window... MSFS becomes totally unresponsive... task manager to kill it!

Terrible!

For my part, I run Air Hauler 2, Rex Weather and FS Chatter programmes with MSFS. As regards settings I run at 5120x1440 Ultrawide, run at 150 Render scale (have also tested at 100 render scale with no change in lag - performance remained the same). Drivers all up to date as I have a drivers programme that I run to ensure all computer drivers and NVidia drivers are up to date. I have an average of 91-95% GPU usage with frame limit on or off.
