Carenado PC 12 GTNXi 750/650
#1
I think I may have misunderstood and maybe someone might confirm one way or another.  I thought that the two default units in the Carenado PC 12 were replaced with the GTNXi 750 and 650.  However when I enable the GTNXi in the ipad on the aircraft, only the 750 is installed leaving the default smaller unit in place.

Also, I have to go through the process of loading the unit each time I start the sim.  Is there any way of keeping they unit in nthe aircraft until I decide to remove it?

Many Thanks

Hello,

The exact configuration of the GPS units is implemented by the aircraft add-on manufacturer, not by us. Because of this, the Carenado PC12 only has the 750 and not the 650.

In regards to the default GPS being the TDS GTNXi, there solution is found here:

Good luck!

When I activate TDS 750 in the PC-12, I start getting this: https://i.gyazo.com/a6c9dee1f42ed1398e52...c93370.mp4

Looks like Manipulators are spiking, triggering MainThread spiking, causing stutters in entire sim. As soon as 750 is off, everything is back to normal 60-70 FPS.

Tested with Milviz C310 with double 750 and no issue.

Hello,

That does seem very odd as we are talking about one 750Xi with bad performance unit VS two 750Xi units with good performance.

Did you apply the performance improvement fixes?

I have Steps 1 and 3, but I cannot accomplish Step 2. That option doesn't appear in my sim. However, I found this:

https://thenerdstash.com/microsoft-fligh...tch-notes/

Scroll down:
"NanoVG is now the default rendering method (instead of GDI) for XML gauges on PC (still can be changed in devmode Options->Use NanoVG for XML Gauges)"

SU10 changed this, but I still am missing the option.

Yes, that is correct, MSFS defaults to NanoVG starting with SU10. How is performance with Step1 applied?

I had Steps 1 and 3 applied already before. Did some more flights in Miviz C310, 2 hours, no problems. I jumped into Carenado PC12, took off, about 10 minutes later, issue starts and makes the sim unflyable. I suspect it could be Carenado related, but only happens with TDS gauge enabled.

Thank you for the information. As a test, with the PC12, can you please lower your MSFS display settings and try again?
