TDS GTNXi Screens dark & dull looking
#1
I am in the Milvis 310 and the GPS screens are very dull/dark and flat. The TDS screen looks terrible compared to the PMS. I turned the brightness up to 100% and nothing changed. It almost looks like they have some sort of haze over them. The greens aren’t green, the blacks are more like a gray. Anyone else experiencing this? See screenshots comparing the TDS and the PMS.

Hello,

It seems that nobody has responded, we are interested if other users share the same issue. Perhaps you can post this issue in our Discord server?

Do you experience the same problem with a VC integrated version with other add-ons?

Both screenshots look of similar brightness on my monitor. The PMS uses incorrect colors - so if that's what you're used to you may think the TDS looks odd. Looks normal to me though. Also can you show a full cockpit screenshot? I will try to find one of mine. Of course everything depends on the sim environment... is this overcast skies etc etc?

Here's a pic but I'm viewing the dark panel so MSFS will brighten the scene.

Here's the real one with similar lighting as the sim

Sorry. Been out of town. Here is a shot of the Milviz 310 and one of the JustFlight Piper Arrow. You can see the 310 lacks contrast, the greens aren't as green, and the blacks look gray. The Piper looks a good bit better all around.

Unfortunately we do not handle panel specific colors ourselves, these are created using the texture/3d model routines provided by the add-on developer.

The the GTN's look identical on my HDR monitor in your shots. Milviz has a slightly darker cockpit - maybe they changed the material properties on the glass? For instance, in the C414 it looks perfect...

Yea. It does seem to be a Milviz thing. I had some other complaints with the Milviz 310 so I switched to the Cessna 414 by FlySimware. It looks pretty good in that plane and the plane handles much better.

Thank you for letting us know, this is definitely an issue to be looked into from the aircraft add-on side.
