VC Integration Mod for BN2
#1
Hi all- Aircraft Integration -

I am using this wonderful mod from Laurinius. It is working perfectly. I would like to create a mod for my BN2 from Blackbox. The instructions state:

 "- Aircraft Integration -
You can replace any screen/gauge in an aircraft by creating a mod of the panel.cfg.
In the panel.cfg you only have to replace the existing gauge path with either NavSystems/gtn-screen-relay/gtnscreenrelay750.html or NavSystems/gtn-screen-relay/gtnscreenrelay650.html.
For example, to integrate the GTN 650Xi screen into the Robin CAP-10 as replacement for the GNS 430 screen simply create a mod and change the line
>> htmlgauge00=NavSystems/GPS/AS430/AS430.html, 0, 0, 350, 190
to
>> htmlgauge00=NavSystems/gtn-screen-relay/gtnscreenrelay650.html, 0, 0, 350, 190
Also use the other aircraft integrations from this mod as an reference.

I have no drama about being able to change my panel.cfg file, however I am at a loss on how to create a mod. Any help would be most welcome. Many thanks in advance.

BTY, great GTN.

Regards
John

Hello John,

My understanding is that if you already have the mod installed and working, then for other aircraft you would just need to modify the panel.cfg file.
Are you trying to replace the 430 in the BN2 with the GTNXi 650?

Hi, yes I am. When you download the mod, there are separate folders for a number of aircraft, each folder containing a layout.jason and a manifest.jason, as well as Simobjects. I appreciate that you guys are not the owners of the mod, so any help is much appreciated. John.

John,

Let's try finding the panel.cfg file location, can you go in the MSFS community folder, then
BlackBox BN2\SimObjects\Airplanes\JF_PA28_Arrow\panel

Do you see a panel.cfg file?

Hi, I have already changed the panel.cfg to reflect the GTN, but that didn't work. I think the problem is that you actually need to create a new mod for each individual aircraft. This is the part where I am stuck.  I have attached a screenshot to show you.

In that case, if you will send the panel.cfg file (original) of the BN2 to support@tdssim.com, we will do our best to assist you.

We have created a mod for the BlackBox BN2 which replaces the default GNS 530 with the TDS GTNXi 650. If anyone is interested, please ask us.
