TDS GTNXi Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is not registering clicking or dragging
#1
Hello Big Grin  I'm not sure if this is a bug in the TDS GTXNXi or if this is a bug in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.

Summary:
When clicking on the TDS GTNXi in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 often the clicks are not registering, I have to click sometimes 3-4x for the input to be registered. This often causes a strange issue where if you drag the map it does not work correctly, in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 it works perfectly so its obviously related to the new sim, I am not sure whats going wrong and if this is a bug in 2024 I can raise it on their forums, but I thought I'd start here.

Steps to Reproduce:
  1. Launch up any aircraft in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 (In this case I am using the PC12 from SWS)
  2. Startup the Avionics
  3. Click on the display

Please see this video:

Expected Result:
It should register all the click correctly and allow me to drag the map around.
Actual Result:
Not every click is being registered for some reason.
Environment:
  • MSFS 2024 (Latest)
  • PC-12 (SWS)
  • TDS GTNXi 1.2.0.0
  • Aviation Trainer 3.8.4.0
  • GTNXi PC Trainer 20.30.8.0
  • Gauge: 2.0.0
  • Pro Upgrade: Included

On further investigation this seems to be an problem specifically with the SWS PC-12 as its working as intended in the TL3000 by FSReborn.

Hello,

Thank you for this bug report, as the TL3000 does not exhibit it and it is the same GTN750Xi Unit 1, then something seems odd. A cause could be the fingerprints/dust layer, but we are not sure.
This could as well be a MSFS 2024 bug related to many things.

Out of curiosity, how does the 650 Unit 2 perform in the same test?

The GTN 650 has the same issue it seems isolated to this aircraft though so I'll wait for SWS to update their plane for 2024 and see if they fix it!

We have discussed with SWS on this issue and they think that this is a MSFS 2024 issue affecting the VR collision mesh, perhaps related to MSFS 2020 planes being ported. They are not sure at this point.
