Standalone installer please?

Hi
as usual, install fails. Disabled all virus checkers (unsafe method for sure).
Says successful but of course is not and for WHOLE flight get constant reminders
of new version that I can NOT install with this gps manager.
Great app/gps - the BEST! Sorry but AWFUL install system.]
PLEASE let customers have an actual file we can download and install.
FSHUD have same system where you have to update via APP and that fails too si I'm stuck with upgrade nag there but there's actually deletes my previous version so you're not so bad.....
Anyone with a secure machine will have issues with this OTT DRM hassle.
Could you please provide me with a working install method/instruction flow.
OR remove the constant upgrade nag from unit while I'm trying to enjoy flying or I will have to stop using your superior unit!

The TDS GPS Manager is a great program created by us to facilitate the installation of the TDS GTNXi Pro. We have numerous customers who are using it without issue.
Not to worry, we will heelp you solve the issue on our end.

First of all, please reboot the PC so we can be sure that the TDS GTNXi is not running in the background. Then this is a simple case of needing to run the TDS GPS Manager as an administrator (right click, select Run as Administrator).

Please let us know how it goes.

I didn't reboot as that auto starts my AV app again. Running as Admin allows the update to install to 1.08 but you must agree it is not good Windows programming practice to avoid false positives by turning off any virus and running as admin? You guys are well respected so yes fine, but it's a bad habit to get into with installs from the Internet turning off AV and running as admin!
Would be great if you could figure out why you are getting false positives and also work around needing to run setup as Admin. It's usually permissions issues in the install directory yet?

oh and now after doing the above the gps cannot find trainer. Last time this happened I lost all my custom routes and waypoints!

GPS manager says trainer installed!
I will download from garmin myself.

My Garmin trainers are installed and working i do not need to download again.

your manager program says all is fine. Your TDS gps says trainer not installed .

before running as admin I had a working program no i do not.

just tried to downgrade the trainer - took 3 mins to dl then garmin window popped up saying already installed you dont need to intall again

tds still says no trainer!!
where can i change the path what is registry key>?

Ok i installed older GT in garmin 20,.13 and it works now.
your gps manager app deleted it somehow!
lost ALLLL my user data again.
where is it kept so i can back up in future. Making user waypoints takes a LOT of time

To make sure that the correct GTNXi PC Trainer is installed, please follow these instructions:

Please access the base Aviation Trainer Launcher, then in the Version Manager tab, make sure to install the GTNXi PC Trainer component V20.30.8

We are working on an overhaul of the TDS GPS Manager to facilitate such installations so ultimately it will be much easier for the user to view/install the specific GTNXi PC Trainer component.
