Black screen on all aircraft

I am going out my mind trying to fix the black screen issue on ALL aircraft I have. I have done 2 full uninstall and reinstalls, Im using the latest version and I simply cannot get this to work. It was working fine a few months ago (I havent been able to use flight sim for a while Sad) TDS Version is 1.1.0.8 and trainer version is 3.6.4.0. I have checked that everything is running when the sim is running. The app says its connected to the flight sim. I have checked the trainers and they work. I have followed all guides on this forum and nothing fixes the black screen problem. Any ideas what I can do?

Hello,

Not to worry, we will get this solved. With MSFS closed, please start the TDS GTNXi from the desktop shortcut, then click on the GTN750Xi button. Does the screen light up?

Yes it works perfectly OUTSIDE of the sim where i tested everything. I just dont see anything working IN the sim on any of the aircraft (Carenado, Blacksquare, Cessna 414 etc etc). Black screens on everything and no initialisation.

Just as a reminder also, that I have fully uninstalled and reinstalled all component of the add on as per other threads.

The only thing that has changed is that I have moved to the USA from France. Do you have any restrictions on use of the product in the US?

No, there are absolutely no restrictions or country checks in the TDS GTNXi, this is against our policy, as we want all our users to enjoy our software.

Thank you for letting us know of your findings. There are a few items to check:
Do you have the WASM gauge module inside the MSFS Community folder: tds-gtnxi-gauge

In addition, when inside MSFS and you have a TDS GTNXi selected aircraft, if you open the TDS GTNXi interface, does it enter into gauge mode?

We would recommend removing other GTN units from the MSFS Community folder. Please note, for the FSW C414, you need to select the specific TDS GTNXi livery of the 414.

Hello, yes I have everything selected correctly (i.e. selecting the correct aircraft and / or selecting your guage using the efb) and I dont have any other GTN units installed. I only have your product. Any other suggestions?

OK so the problem is when I am using WMR for VR. For some reason the guage works in 2D only and no longer works in VR. If I start the sim without WMR in the background and start a flight I can see the gauge. However, if I start with WMR and VR the screen is black. If I start the sim without WMR in 2D and then initialise everything so the GTN works, and then start WMR, the sim crashes to desktop. Do you know why the guage no longer works using VR? Do you have any suggestions on how I can fix this?

I can confirm, when using VR, that the GTN is in "gauge mode" and says its connected to the sim.

Hello,

Unfortunately we are unable to help with WMR, it is a discontinued feature of Windows. The sim crashes that you have stated do not have to do with the TDS GTNXi, as our software runs outside MSFS, communicating with MSFS using SimConnect. We would suggest using other VR software which are supported and not discontinued.

PMS guage works in VR, so I guess Ill need to use that from now on. Thats a shame. I really like your product.
