I installed the new version for MSFS2024 last night but did not have an opportunity to try it out until today. I have noticed a couple issues:
1. My simulator would crash to desktop during startup. Removing the GTN750xi folder from the Community folder resolved the crash on startup.
2. With the GTN750xi running outside of the simulator, the vertical speed functions (up & down buttons) of the default Garmin G1000 autopilot in the Cessna 172 would not work. I uninstalled the GTN fully from MSFS2024 and verified the autopilot functions normally again.
Hello,
We would recommend a new post in regards to this.
We find it odd that MSFS 2024 would crash on startup, as during startup the TDS WASM community gauge package does not get loaded, so the issue must be someplace else.
The package gets compiled and running inside MSFS only after being in flight, right before the Ready To Fly button appears. We think that in this case this may be a coincidence and some other software is causing the issues.
In regards to the second reported issue, the TDS GTNXi is a GPS unit and so is the G1000. As in real life, in MSFS they should not run at the same time, this is counter-intuitive and also causes MSFS conflicts. We would suggest re-running the same test scenario, but with the TDS GTNXi 750 and 650 windows closed.
If the TDS GTNXi is active in the system tray, but no windows are shown, there is no interaction with the autopilot/VS buttons, so this should not be an issue. Please let us know how this goes, in a separate post.
