TDS GTNXi Black Screen MSFS2020 - HendrikP - 11-25-2025

Hi Guys

I know this might be a common topic, i just didn't find anything related to MSFS2020 yet (so, maybe I should upgrade to 2024 now too? )

Hope for some help here : I downloaded and did a clean install of TDSGPSManager (Pro upgrade) for MSFS2020, following precisely the excellent TDS instruction manual. everything was installed correctly and GTNXi works fine via the desktop link but in my Bonanza-pro-turbo I only get black screens. PMS50 GTN750 and GNS530/430 work fine when I hot-swap to them, so it seems to be an integration issue into MSFS2020 ...

Any advice please, much appreciated

I tried once more a clean install on a recovered disk image from before the initial install acc. your instruction but no change: it works outside the sim but in-sim only "black screens"!

interesting is that the flight simulator uninstall page of the TDS GPS Manager shows both MSFS2020 and FS2024 products, although I have only MSFS2020 installed. I even tried de-installing the FS2024 part which it confirmed "Product successfully uninstalled!", however afterwards it still showed both installed ... I can send screenshots if you need

hope the log files help clarify where I'd gone wrong ;-)

Hi Guys, you ROCK! It works now, the TDS GTNXi exclusion in Norton 360 antivirus solved it, many thanks for the fast & clear advice, very much appreciated!
