No cockpit integration C414
#1
Hi,
The install of the trainer and the software seemed to go fine.
It works a a stand alone pop out type screen. I have the green connected to sim message, but the cockpit 750 remains off (I made sure it was the correct livery for the GTNXI 750).
I read your response to the same problem yesterday, I checked I was running version 1.0.0.7 and also checked the community folder for the tds-gtnxi-gauge folder, but it wasn't there.
I had a look at the log files, and may have spotted a problem. The TDSGTNXiExel log shows:

[01/04/2022 12:10:15.026 00004f7c INFO] TDSGTNXiFlightSimEXE.exe version 1.0.1.2

[01/04/2022 13:51:51.165 00004f7c INFO] Ending EXE Process

It's detected a double installation of the Steam version and the Store version. I never fully installed the Steam version, the install kept hanging, eventually I installed the Store version instead.
Could this be why I don't have the Gauges folder in my Community folder?

Just for information, this is the 750 unit log:

[01/04/2022 12:10:16.846 0000491c INFO] TDSGTNServices.dll version 1.0.1.2
[01/04/2022 13:51:51.272 0000491c INFO] Ending Process

Thanks
Eugene

Hello Eugene,

Is it possible to completely uninstall the Steam remnant files from Windows if you do not need them?

First we need to remove the UserOpt.cfg file located here:
C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator

Please replace %username% with your username.

Then please attempt reinstalling just the TDS GTNXi Flight Simulator from within the TDS GPS Manager, it should auto add the tds-gtnxi-gauge to the MSFS community folder.
Do not worry, we will work with you in getting this problem solved.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Thanks guys - that worked, I've now got it working!
Can I put the UserOpt.cfg file back now? It seems to contain graphics settings, or is it best left disabled? Sim seems to work without it, but I'm not sure what it's meant to do?
2 Garmins are a bit of over-kill for me, appreciate it that others will find them useful, but is there a way of disabling the second one, maybe in the .ini file, to help with framerates?
Many thanks for your help.

Hello Eugene,

The UserOpt.cfg file that you have removed will only be used by MSFS bought from Steam, since you are using the Windows Store, this is not used and will only cause confusion to the TDS GTNXi and other software installations, so it may be a good idea to keep it away. There is another UserOpt.cfg file in a different location, for the Windows Store version that you have.

For performance improvements, please follow the post on performance from our forum:

Regarding disabling the second GTNXi Unit from the VC of the C414, absolutely, you must navigate inside the panel.cfg located here:
First you must make a backup copy of it.

Community\flysimware-cessna-414a\SimObjects\Airplanes\flysimware_Cessna_414A\panel.GTN750XI
For VCockpit02 section, add a // in front of the htmlgauge00 line, such as this:

//htmlgauge00=WasmInstrument/WasmInstrument.html?wasm_module=Gauge/TDSGTNXiGaugeModule.wasm&wasm_gauge=GTNXI750U2, 0,0,650,768

Good luck!
