CTD while trying to load X-Plane
#1
Since installing the new GTNXi I've had a lot of problems starting  up X-plane.  It gets through loading the plugins but as soon as it starts reading the airports it crashes to the desktop.  The error at the end of the log file is

Violation by X-Aviation Activation (lss.xa.activation - E:\X-Plane 12/Resources/plugins/X-Aviation/win_x64/X-Aviation.xpl).

I would think that means the Cessna 525 which was th elast aircraft I loaded and comes from X-Aviation would be the issue, but it was working fine before.

I've also attached the log.txt if that helps.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Bill

For me it's a hit and miss. With both, the latest beta and the stable version of X-Plane.

First, I removed all other plugins except for the X-Plane ones and the Tdsi one and it worked.

Added one after the other plugin and it was still working, thought it would crash while loading X-Plane at least when I added the last one (X-Aviation) but it was still working.

Since then, like I said, it's hit and miss, sometimes X-Plane loads, sometimes it crashes. If it crashes I just restart X-Plane and normaly X-Plane loads the 2nd time.

Edit: I have also attached my log.txt, last entry is:

Threading violation calling XPLMDestroyWindow (C:\GitLab-Runner\builds\2dtum6M9\0\x-plane\xplanesdk\Src\XPLM\XPLMDisplay.cpp:796)
Violation by TDS GTNXi Plugin for XPlane (tds.gtnxi.plugin - G:\X-Plane 12/Resources/plugins/TDSGTNXi/64/win.xpl)

I'm glad I'm not the only one experiencing this...your experience fits mine exactly...same thing...sometimes X-Plane starts and sometimes it doesn't.  I've been getting greats suppor ton the Discord channel and they are still working with me to resolve this issue.  If we figure it out (and I believe it's some kind of conflict with the X-Aviation plugin), I will certainly report back here what was found.  Good luck!

Hello Noksi,

We are sorry to hear of the issues that you are having. We take CTD bugs very seriously and we want to do our best to assist in this matter. We think that this is a conflict with an XPlane plugin, we are unsure which one. Can you please contact us DM @TDSSim on Discord so we can further discuss and resolve this:

I too experienced CTD with nothing appearing in the log. It just ended dumping me to desktop. For me, the conflict seems to be with Avitab. With it disabled, I have not had any crashes, even with X-Aviation plugin enabled. The two do not seem to like one another.

Hello,

We are actively looking into this, we are sorry for the inconvenience. Do you have the TDS Navigraph Navdata Cycle 2502 installed?
As stated above, can you please contact us via DM on Discord?

Already DM'ed you on Discord.

Some more troubleshooting on my end:

In my case X-Plane will crash the 1st time after I start the PC, after the 1st crash it will work if I simply restart X-Plane, until I restart the PC.

That said, I think in my case it might be the RealityXP plugin, if I remove it, X-Plane will not crash

But as soon as I add RealityXP, X-Plane will crash at the 1st start

Which might make sense as both are doing basically the same and maybe somehow interfere with each other

For what it's worth, I can leave the X-Aviation plugin enabled, looks like that plugin is not the culprit on my end
