There's a way to do it, but requires purchasing the AIRAC update files direct from Garmin. And they aren't cheap at $999UD / year for North America, and $1900 / year for worldwide.
Otherwise, you just have to wait for Garmin to update their trainer, which they typically do a couple of times a year. But as soon as it's released, the AIRAC data is already 1-2 months out of date typically.
