The message that you get about "No Databases" is only about uploading a different database to the GTNXi, this is not an issue with the TDS GTNXi and you should not worry about it, as it does not interfere with any functionality.
As it is now, the database that the TDS GTNXi comes with is cycle 2104, which can be very well used with the TDS GTNXi, despite the message about the timestamp being expired.
In regards to database updates, as soon as a new PC Trainer will come out, we will update our software accordingly so customers can use the new database. Not to worry, this problem is known to us and we will do our best.
