How to Connect CDI in app to sim?

I'm trying to figure out what I might be doing wrong.  The settings appear correct in the TDS app.  But I'm getting no CDI needle deviation, and the HSI OBS isn't slaving to the unit.  IRL I don't think the analogue HSI would (I'd have to turn the knob to the DTK to match the GTN).  But I'm guessing it is supposed to work like the old F1/RXP units.

Has anyone tried getting this to work with the Carenado aircraft?

At this point I also do not have the autopilot even following the TDS.  It was working in the last version.

You can see my HSI CDI needle is straight here when it should be offset

edit:  I have tried a PC reboot after changing TDS settings and I'm using Windows 10 Pro

Also tried using default C172 steam gauge, and also disabled PMS GNS and GTN units.

I'm also NOT using the MSFS beta.

Hello Ryan,

That does indeed look like weird behavior, it is not a known bug, so it must be something local that is going on there. The latest TDS GTNXI has been tested with Carenado airplanes and it has worked without a problem.

If you go in the main settings tab, what do you have as the Navigation Source? It should be GTNXi 750 Unit 1.
Additionally, I would cycle the NAV/GPS switch until I am sure that the red flag from the HSI is out.

As soon as we fix this problem, the autopilot and other functionality that you asked about should work properly.

I'll perhaps try a reinstall.  I'm at work for another 7 hours though.  Maybe another addon is interfering.  Have you tested with the G1000 NXi in the marketplace?  I don't see how that would do anything as it's totally separate for flight plan management.  But maybe.

The WT G1000 NXi will not work perfectly with the TDS GTNXi, in regards to the autopilot mode annunciators on the PFD, since as in real life, there are no airplanes with both a G1000 and a GTN (GPS system in fact) in the same cockpit, they are mutually exclusive. The Carenado should work well.

Oh I was more or less wondering if having the NXi mod would interfere. Not that I'd use a plane with a g1000 and GTN.

No, having the WT G1000 NXI installed, but not active in the airplane will not interfere with the TDS GTNXi at all.

I finally got this working. I had a supported trainer but apparently not the recommended version. I updated to the latest trainer and everything is working.

Do you think LPV glide path will ever work on analogue HSI's?

Out of curiosity, which version of the GTNXi Trainer were you using that was causing the autopilot problems?

Regarding the LPV glide path working on an analogue HSI, we will do our best within the MSFS SDK limitations, but we can't make any promises.

I'm not at my PC but I think it was something like 3.0.0

And this point I'm not even sure I see a glide path using the stock gns530 during rnav approaches with lpv mins. I'll have to use lnav mins for now. I understand the AP will follow the glide path.
