Hello,

The TDS GTNXi contains VNAV functionality, currently as an advisory capacity (not autopilot coupled), this is quite a complex subject.
We suggest referring to the real GTN Xi Pilot's Guide for an in depth explanation on VNAV.

There is the VNAV page which will let you know when the descent phase begins, additionally you will get an audible warning when within 1 minute of TOD, from the VNAV page you can configure an advisory message of when to descend and also you can display the required vertical speed (VSR) as a data field on the map page. All these are described in the Pilot's Guide. The TDS GTNXi works just like the real world unit, please enjoy it!
