I had the exact same problem, it was driving me crazy. The GTN was refusing to autoslew and ignoring other settings, like the VFR transponder code.

Hello,

This is true, at our end we are working (internally at first) on some great TDS GTNXi improvements, hence the difference in auto slew having to be selected with the aircraft loaded.

More information on upcoming features will come in the future.
