TDS GTNXi Plugin CRASHING X-Plane 11 - ScottR - 06-27-2025
BLUF - I had problems with the TDS GTNXi pop out when running X-Plane 11. It eventually crashed X-Plane and now I cannot start X-Plane at all. I'm adding the X-Plane and GTNXi logs.
I will add another thread for the issue with the pop out feature that I experienced before this crash and lock up.
I have attempted to reboot the system in hopes that the problem will be resolved, but this was unsuccessful. I'm guessing I will need to delete and reinstall the plugin, but I would like to get a response here before I do that.

We are sorry to hear of the issues that you are experiencing, we are here to help.
To be able to assist you, we need to understand exactly what has happened prior to the crash, any information, screenshots will help us.
There is no need to create another thread, all discussion should be inside this thread.
As a temporary solution, please temporarily remove the "TDSGTNXi" from the "X-Plane 11\Resources\plugins"
and then start XPlane 11. Please let us know if XPlane 11 will load correctly first.

Ok. I've removed the plugin folder for TDSGTNXi and the simulations appears to start again.

Thank you for letting us know. Please use the TDS GPS Manager to fix the TDS GTNXi installation inside XPlane 12 and then let us know if it starts.

I have reinstalled the TDS GTNXi plugin using the manager, and it still crashes X-Plane. I've included the X-Plane log showing this case at the bottom.
Edit: BTW - I'm using X-Plane 11, not 12.

Ok. So, here is what I have found. I can open and fly with the basic X-Plane C-172, as long as I don't touch the bezel area when the displays are popped out. If I do then they start to act strangely, and will eventually effect the performance, which slows WAY down and eventually locks up.
If I fly with the G1000 C-172, with the GNTXi displays in the simulation (i.e. popped in), it seems to be OK. Once I pop out the GNTXi dislays, the same strange behaviour starts happening, but propagates much faster, eventually crashing the system.
The first time I loaded the GNTXi plugin, I was running with the X-Aviation C-172 (basic X-Plane) with the RealSimGear G5 displays in the cockpit. The sim would run with this aircraft and the GNTXi plugin. Now, it just crashes when the sim is loading. I cannot run with that airplane any longer.
WRT the display resize issue. I've confirmed over and over, that if the bezel is touched with the GNTXi displays are popped out, they will exhibit the strange resizing and moving behaviour, which cannot be fixed after it starts. If the bezel is not ever touched, the displays seem to work fine.
I've tried adding some video files I took to show you the issues, but they won't load on this forum website.

Thank you for the information.
As a test, with XPlane closed, can you please access this folder inside the main X-Plane 12 folder:
Aircraft/X-Aviation/Cessna 172SP G5
And temporarily move out the TDSGTN.ini file.
After this attempt a new test flight in X-Plane. If the flight works well, without crashes, then please send us that log file, as most likely it got corrupted.

OK. The X-Aviation airplane is operating again with the GTNXi displays popped in. I'm including the X-Plane and TDS log files.

Thank you for the log files, can you please provide us with the TDSGTN.ini file that we asked you to move out of the aircraft's folder (the ini file causing issues)
