No glide slope on RNAV approach on SWS PC12 - BravoLima - 06-10-2024

Hello,

Apart selecting GPS for navigation source, is there something more to do? I have no glide slope on any RNAV approach on the SWS PC-12.

Thank you,

Bruno

Hello Bruno,

No, this should not happen, most likely something needs to be done on your side, as we have full glidepath support with the SWS PC-12. In fact, the TDS GTNXi uses default MSFS variables, so this should not be an issue. Please provide us with some technical details as well as screenshots, outlining the problem, so we can get to see what is going on.

Hello,

The glideslope display does not appear on the EADI on RNAV approach.  It used to work with the PC12 before.

It seems I am not the only one:

Hello,

Does the RNAV(LPV) glidepath work in other add-on aircraft with the TDS GTNXi?

As we have asked before, to be able to assist you, please provide us with technical details and screenshots of the issue. This way we can determine what is wrong and see what needs to be done.

Hello, I can't tell if it works in other add-on aircraft.

I have tried last nignt with the latest version of TDS GTNXi and the latest version (sept 3) of SWS PC-12.

Maybe something to do with the Pro version of TDS GTNxi?

What kind of technical details do you need?

Thank you,

Bruno

Hello Bruno,

As a first step, please test with other aircraft. IN addition, when the TDS GTNXi loads on startup, on the instrument panel self test page, do you get a test deflection halfway, for the needle as well as the glideslope/gldiepath, when in GPS mode?

Please provide us with some screenshots.

Hello,

I made a test yesterday night, and the glide slope is working fine on Carenado PC12.

Still no luck with the SWS PC12 (see the screen shots attached on a LPV approach on rwy 29 at CYQB).

About the instruments test page on startup when the TDS GTNXi loads, I am not sure what you are refering to.

Thank you!

Bruno

This seems to be a recent SWS PC-12 bug with the latest release, where the glidepath would display if the AP and APR modes are engaged, we suggest getting in touch with SWS.
